Our 6th grade group meets once a week to review key math skills such as unit rates, converting fractions/decimals/percents, and solving word problems, and order of operations. Sessions also include preparation for the 6th Grade Math F.A.S.T. assessment to build confidence and mastery.
Our Pre-Algebra group is designed for both 7th grade accelerated math students and 8th grade pre-algebra students. Each week, we cover essential topics such as equations, inequalities, order of operations, geometry basics, and the Pythagorean Theorem. Sessions provide targeted practice, review, and support to strengthen foundational skills and prepare students for success in Algebra.
Our Algebra group meets weekly to strengthen core skills and prepare students for the Algebra 1 End-of-Course (EOC) exam, a key graduation requirement. Lessons focus on complex equations, literal equations, absolute value equations, systems of equations, quadratic functions, and more. Each session builds understanding, confidence, and readiness for both classroom success and the EOC.
Our Geometry group focuses on the key fundamentals students need for success in class and on the Geometry End-of-Course (EOC) exam. Each week, we review essential skills such as the distance and midpoint formulas, properties of parallel and perpendicular lines, triangle congruence and similarity, circles, polygons, surface area, volume, coordinate geometry, and an introduction to trigonometry. Lessons are designed to strengthen understanding, and build problem-solving skills.
Our Algebra 2 group helps students master advanced concepts while reinforcing the fundamentals needed for long-term success in math. Each week, we cover topics such as polynomial and rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, complex numbers, conic sections, sequences and series, probability and statistics, and trigonometric functions. Lessons are designed to build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and prepare students for higher-level math courses.
Our SAT Math Prep group helps students build the skills and strategies needed to succeed on the SAT math section. Sessions review algebra, geometry, data analysis, and advanced math concepts, while also focusing on test-taking strategies and practice problems to build confidence and accuracy.
Our SAT Reading & Writing Prep group helps students strengthen the skills needed for the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section of the SAT. Sessions focus on reading comprehension, vocabulary in context, grammar and usage, and writing strategies. Students practice with official-style questions and learn techniques to increase accuracy, efficiency, and confidence on test day.
